I am what people call an “enthusiast photographer”.  I am simply a person that loves wandering this amazing world with my camera and trying to take interesting photographs. Today, everyone is a photographer. We have a camera (phone) with us 24/7 and they can take some incredible pictures. I love the challenge of creating a memorable image.I have been taking photographs my whole life, but only developed a passion for photography twelve years ago. In 2012, my wife and I visited Yosemite National Park. I figured if I was going to the land of Ansel Adams, I needed a “real” camera. I quickly found out that an interesting photo requires more than a good camera in a beautiful setting. And, I was hooked. Since then, I have visited more than 30 national parks, used seven different cameras, taken thousands of photos, and spent countless hours editing my work. My photography remains a work in progress. 2012 is also the year I found out that I had Parkinson’s Disease. Parkinson’s is a progressive disease that is different in every person. I knew eventually I would not be able to hike very far or hold my camera still. I did not, however, know when that day will come. Parkinson’s helps me remember the importance of each day, of not kicking the can down the road. We do not know what tomorrow holds. Many of the photographs in my website come from trips I would not have made if my life was “normal”. While this website is not set up for ecommerce, all photos are available for sale.
